SHORT DESCRIPTION : Designs Manufacturing Processes, Implements Process Improvements, Engineering Changes through the use of best industry practices.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Electrical or Industrial Engineering/Technical Degree from an accredited university. 5+ years’ experience, Regulatory Experience (UL/CSA/CE). Electrical Product Troubleshooting (PCBA/Electromechanical), Requirements Analysis, Time/Assembly Studies, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Process Improvement, Process Capability Studies, GR&R, Documentation Skills, Ability to read/understand/create Electrical Schematics, Knowledgeable in Electrical Test Equipment, Wire Harness Design & Manufacture, Self-Development, Planning, MSWord/Excel expert level, Verbal Communication
RESPONSIBILITY :
- Responsible to lead NPIs, Engineering Changes, Process Improvements.
- Design production line processes using lean methods, process flow and value stream mapping.
- Improve production line processes using time studies, takt-time process flow balancing, and single piece flow methodology. Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
- Perform / Participate in FMEA, PFMEA, and other 6-Sigma tools.
- Perform process validation including process capability studies (CpK). Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
- Specification Validation and Review. Expert ability to interpret electro-mechanical drawings, schematics, plumbing diagrams, wiring documents.
- Prepares work instructions, validation with production line operators and supervisors.
- Leads/Improves Engineering Change Process for internal or external requirements.
- Customer technical interface before, during, after NPI to implement process improvements and increase profitability. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and presentation Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis expertise. Able to apply Best-in-Class techniques to determine true root cause and recommend preventative measures
